Fishing was added into the game on patch 1.3.0 as part of the November 2018 Update. Fishing in Pixel Worlds is rather straight-forward and all you need to get started is to get a Fishing Rod and several Lures available in the Shop.
There are a total of 4 types of Fishing Rods and 23 different kinds of Lures. Choosing the correct rod and lure is important to catch a specific size and species of fish. For example, a
Bamboo Rod is great for catching small fish but a
Titanium Rod is great for catching huge fish, or the
Worm Bait has a good chance of catching Herring but a
Black Tungsten Jig has a good chance of catching Carp.
The depth of water or any other liquid block determines the depth you are fishing. Different specifies live in different depths and the more liquid is connected to each other, the more often you can catch a fish. Different liquid blocks affects fish types.
How to fish
Lure icon on the free water
In order for players to fish, they will have to equip a Fishing Rod of choice, select any lure in their inventory and stand next to an unused water block. A lure icon should appear on the water block and players will have to tap the icon to begin fishing.
A green "STRIKE" logo will appear above the player once a fish is caught onto the lure and the player then has to tap the "hook" button to begin reeling the fish. Afterwards 2 bars will appear, the above one shows the fish and a green circle.
Players will have to maintain the fish on the green circle at all times to ensure that the fish does not escape. The bar below will get filled as the fish is kept on the green circle and if its all green and filled, players can catch the fish by clicking the strike button (mobile) or pressing "E" (PC). However, if the bar goes empty, the fish will escape. The lure used will be lost regardless of a player catching or loosing the fish.

Each type of fishing rod can be upgraded 3 times in a
