Behavior
The Giant Bat has a relatively fast movement speed with a similar behavior to the Nether Wraith. It is capable of moving through blocks and will follow the player to deal damage upon coming into contact. As it spawns, it will play a high-pitched chirping noise.
Tips/Tricks
- Giant Bats are very simple to defeat. They move slowly, and don't have the highest damage. Simply move backwards when it gets close, swinging your weapon all the while, and you should defeat it very quickly. All pickaxes can two-shot the Giant Bat. Basic Pickaxe, Sturdy Pickaxe, Heavy Pickaxe, Master Pickaxe, Epic Pickaxe, and Dark Pickaxe can one-shot Giant Bats using a flask of rage, or the perk Heavy Hit.
- It's probably best to defeat Giant Bats as soon as you see them, but they're slow enough that you can speed through the mines without having to deal with them.
