A ban is a temporary or permanent restriction that prevents users from playing the game. A banned user can view the main menu and purchase items from the Shop, however they will be unable to enter any worlds or log out of the account. Bans can be appealed by contacting the support email. They are mostly issued by Moderators, however administrators have advanced banning privileges.
Types of bans
Warning
Warnings serve as reminders to follow the rules, given to people that have violated the rules very lightly. They don't restrict the user in any way. However, they are listed in the moderation history and can influence future moderation actions.
Temporary ban
Temporary bans are set to expire after a certain amount of time. These are issued by Moderators or Administrators using the in-game admin panel. These bans can range from 1 hour to 365 days (1 year).
Permanent ban
Permanent bans are reserved for serious violations such as trading items out of the game or hacking, or repeated violations. Permanent bans last 3650 days (10 years), and cannot be issued using the in-game admin panel. Permanent bans can only be issued by Administrators using the external admin panel. They're also issued by Pixel Worlds Anti-Cheat if a cheat has been detected.
Poison ban
Poison bans are currently the most restrictive punishment in the game. Poison bans are issued if an account is determined to be used exclusively for breaking rules, and poison bans, unlike normal bans, carry over to an user's other accounts they have created. They can be temporary or permanent, and usually aren't able to be appealed.
Trivia
- In Jake's YouTube video "Banning Scammers #6", the scammer mentioned has received a permanent ban that supposedly lasts 99 years, being the longest ban issued. The 99 years ban is only mentioned in the video, and no other player has been seen receiving one.
